While Kandanga Farm has been chemical free for nearly 3 years, in late 2017 it was officially recognised as being in conversion to certified organic status. Kandanga Farm Beef is chemical free, entirely grass fed and truly local. So why K2? Well we, Tim & Amber Scott have 2 farms in the Mary Valley with Kandanga Farm being the 2nd one – K2. But more importantly K2 is a little known vitamin that has been recognised as missing from most modern diets (Weston A Price). The reason it is missing is that the Vitamin K2 is only found in meat and animal products that have not been grain fed at all – and most meat these days comes from animals supplemented with grain. There’s a whole other blog to discuss the pros and cons of that but we believe in grass fed 100%. Vitamin K2 is really important as it is responsible for bone structure, calcium movement in the body, plus it reduces the incidence of both heart disease and cancer (Mercola). So K2 Beef is rich in Vitamin K2 and we are really proud about that!
