These guys are doing wonderful work spreading the message, helping regen farmers evolve and making it easier to be part of the regen web. We are thrilled to be on their regenerative map - follow them for more!

When we started virtually no-other traditional rur

When we started virtually no-other traditional rural store sold 10+ variety, bare, #multispecies, #covercrop seed mixes (let alone germ tested ones), so we created our #BosGro range and helped the move away from monoculture plantings.

Virtually no stores understood the uses of #biochar as a soil amendment, #microbehousing #decontamination agent and feed additive managing #microtoxins, reducing methane, adding weight gain and helping with internal parasites. So we worked with supplement companies like #olssons (and 5 other lick companies) on making biochar more acessible.

Same goes for DE in all its grades - including externally in BOS BAG as #grainsave sold as a buffalo fly management tool through over 200 other rural stores with our distribution partner #TFF. DE100 has other uses for micro toxins, microbials and parasites (new 50 micron product).

We worked to have non-chemical herbicides trialled up against glyphosate.

There’s a difference between a “me too” policy, when a store capitalises on a shift in customer sentiment, and making a wholesale change that eliminates poisons from the shelves.

We are farmers also and we understand economics. We want to see scalable food and environmental solutions adopted - It isn’t an option to spend thousands to make hundreds.

Our farms are #certifiedorganic so we understand the requirements for Organic farmers. We are part of the lobby to have truth in packaging laws enforced where an Organic label actually means “Certified Organic”
It’s easy to forget the dozens of workshops, years of work assessing suppliers and their products, thousands of hours of research and tens of thousands of hours talking to customers that makes our products and knowledge an asset to you- our most valuable customers. We have put the work in and we sell what we sell for good reason. So please support us and help us keep up the message to the rest of the market that it’s time for real change!

A great big Thankyou to @agriwebb who put up a 1 year subscription as one of the #agvention2024 lucky door prizes.

As farmers as well farm store keepers we use Agriwebb because it allows us to keep individual records but record whole mob actions - like paddock moves and treatments.

You can also easily record paddock treatments, planting or fertiliser records and run reports on paddock yields or livestock performance.

Well that was a whole lot of fun! We covered a lot

Well that was a whole lot of fun! We covered a lot, felt bulls testicles, gained a new appreciation for weeds, tried to count dots and stars, pretended to be grass, realised that sensitive design can restore landscape hydrology pretty quickly and economically, learned how powerful livestock can be in contributing to ecosystem restoration and learned that while there are no silver bullets there’s still plenty of tools to help us.

Making Nasturtium capers from Heidi Merika’s new book From The Wild. We’ve had a sneak peak at this stunning book so we could prepare a few of the recipes for Agvention on the 6th September - Including these peppery little bundles of deliciousness.

It is why we have asked @brianwehlburgholisticmanager from Inside Outside Management to be our first speaker at Agvention on the 6th September.

Brian will set the foundation for this year’s speaker focussed Agvention by challenging problem focussed paradigms and inspiring you instead to create your unique vision for your life, your family, your landscape. The rest is just using your creativity and finding the tools that help you realise your vision.

Brian is one of the happiest and kindest people we know and has made a positive impact on so many people (us included) so we are so grateful and excited he will sharing his wisdom with you at Agvention.

We’ve been brainstorming how to keep Agvention relevant and worth the trip each year. The last thing we want is a same old same old experience for you - so - we’re changing up the format - odd years will be the trade show focusing on invention and innovation in products and services to support organic and regen farmers. Even years (like 2024!) will focus on the ideas! Knowledge, information and exploring paradigms. You guys love the speakers tent each year and so we are giving speakers full focus this year.
Tickets $49.50 for a full day of speakers - deep diving into a variety of topics - we’ll tell you more about our line up over the next few weeks.

We’ve run out of takeaway coffee cups and the fully home compostable ones we get are a special order - eeek. (Most disposable cups - even the eco ones are not that eco - compostable in commercial composters might work if you are living in the big city but out here with no collection points - they just become landfill with micro plastics).

Back to the point of this post …. To fill the gap we have these quite stylish reuseable coffee cups from Ever Eco that are normally $25 but until we can get the disposables back they are $15 with a coffee included! Bargain!

They are the nifty size that fits in car cup holders!

And if you already have a reuseable cup then bring it in and we will knock $1 off your coffee too.
