One of the best things about our farm store journey is all the people we have met over the last 9 years. From large scale, organic cattle graziers of Western QLD and NT to intensive small crops producers, manufacturers and suppliers of innovative products for ‘alternate’ producers, scientists measuring impact, right through to total newcomers to farming and so many in between. There’s been something to learn and share with all of them and something I treasure is the part we have been able to play in facilitating connections between all these diverse individuals. Like a complex web these connections foster resilience and growth. Our annual Agvention field day on the first Friday in September is one of the events we run to further these connections and contribute to the regen and organic community knowledge bank. September 6, 2024, is fast approaching and this year we are stripping things back to the core. We’ve decided to run Agvention in a format of alternating years – trade show one year – showcasing practical innovation and new products and then convention the other year – focusing on ideas and knowledge. This ensures Agvention stays relevant and worthwhile. 2024 will be our ideas year and we have invited some unique minds along to share their knowledge. Brian Wehlburg, Heidi Merika, Eric Tighe, Mick Alexander. We are giving them more time to delve with you into their respective crafts so that with them you can explore and challenge the topics where they are exceptional.
And of course, Agvention will feature the food we are famous for…. because it all comes back to food. Locally produced, organic ingredients turned into simply wholesome and delicious nourishment. We suspect some people come for the food alone.
Whether you a brand new or well-seasoned, if you are not one just to follow the pack and you feel energized by thinking about old things in new ways, if you like being around people who challenge, explore and endlessly learn then Agvention is for you. Flyer
