We are coming up to a year since we started construction of the Kandanga Farm Store. It’s good to look back and realise just how far we have come because some days it feels like we haven’t done much at all. Since moving in to the Store in September, Bos Rural has really gone from strength to strength and its so heartening to know we are not the only ones who believe that the future of food does require us to move away from chemical use.

Kandanga Kitchen started in October and now its hard to get a car space on café days. The food is truly local -with  farmers dropping off their harvest then staying for a coffee as they chat with other farmers and those of us just interested in where our food comes from.

The gardens are starting to take form and the building is starting to settle into itself. It really is a pleasure to come to work every day and we get such a kick out of people coming in and complimenting the store/concept/experience.

We are very excited as our workshop and event calendar starts to fill up for the year and its such a rewarding feeling to know we can help contribute to the community knowledge bank.  Its a dream come true.
